D. M. SPRATLEY

D. M. Spratley is a third-generation poet.

 

Her writing has appeared in Poetry, 32 Poems, Shenandoah, and the Lambda Literary Poetry Spotlight.

 

She is a Cave Canem Fellow, a William C. Friday Fellow for Human Relations, and a North Carolina Arts Council Fellow. 

 

D. M. has received awards from Princeton University, Sundress Publications, and Rattle.

 

She was the 2022 Visiting Writer in Residence at Lenoir-Rhyne University, and currently teaches through Night School Bar, a public humanities nonprofit.

Since 2009, D. M. has skated and coached with Star City Roller Girls, Carolina Roller Derby, Bull City Roller Derby, and Team North Carolina.
